Puremind × DAN DA DAN: A Little Strange, Very Human

Our DAN DA DAN collection is now on shelves, and sales are off to a strong start. It’s encouraging to see fans responding to our take on a series with so much personality—and so many unexpected turns.

The story begins with a disagreement. Momo believes in ghosts but dismisses aliens; Okarun believes in aliens but dismisses ghosts. When they set out to prove each other wrong, both discover that they have a lot to reconsider. What follows brings together spirits, extraterrestrials and two teenagers trying to make sense of their feelings amid the chaos.

For all its wild turns, the series makes room for surprisingly tender moments. Momo and Okarun can face something terrifying and still struggle to say what they mean to each other. Their growing trust, awkward exchanges and willingness to show up for one another give the story a warmth that stays with you between the bigger encounters.

That range is what makes DAN DA DAN such an interesting world to explore through collectibles. A fierce pose and a ridiculous expression can belong to the same character, and both feel right. For us, capturing that personality means paying attention to the humour and the softer moments as well as the supernatural spectacle. Those are often the details that make a character feel familiar to someone who loves the series.

Following our JUJUTSU KAISEN collection, DAN DA DAN brings a different energy to our anime lineup. Exploring that variety is part of what we enjoy about working with these stories—each calls for its own approach.

There are more anime collaborations to share in the months ahead. For now, we’re enjoying seeing DAN DA DAN find its place in fans’ collections.
